As it promised to be a sunny if breezy day today we decided to look for a beach to relax on. Just a few miles from Fowey is Polkerris. It's a quaint, tiny village of a few houses, a pub and an ex lifeboat station now converted into a cafe. There's a little beach and harbour where we spent a pleasant day reading, chatting and people watching.
As is so often the case when it's sunny and windy we didn't realise the strength of the sun and all came back with red bits we didn't realise were there until it was too late. Ali has red knees, Joy, red face and chest and I have a red leg. Clearly I sat reading with my legs crossed so only one caught the sun.
We ended the day with Cornish pasties.
