Before Christmas we had snow for 2 days and all children played and had fun.
Also the older children had fun at school as you can see in the picture.

It wasn’t possible to visit our birch tree during week 4 because it was storm and a lot of rain. The children couldn’t go outside during the school day and it was water all over the place. Our tree is not near by the school and we have to walk up the hill and into the forest.
The week after it was snowstorm with cold whether and up to minus 12 degrees. In week six we tried to reach the tree again, no with one boy in fourth class. During the night we got a lot of snow and we tried to reach the tree by foot. As you can see from the pictures we had to give up about half way to the tree. We decided to send you one picture of the tree were we had to give up and go back to school to reach the end of the last lesson that day.
We tried hard to get to the birch tree, but the snow was too deep.
While we were waiting for the winter to come we went into the forest to play Indian games and have fun.

We have been celebrating the sun coming back. This day the smallest children were wearing sunhats, some were playing instruments, we were singing and everybody ate sun cakes.
In the early Autumn a lot of work to get the Comenius project finished in time for the children. Pupils were painting the surrounding areas and writing many books.
Our first and second class have learned about The Norwegian Vikings and all classes in school met them too. Now we are looking forward to get visitors from Germany. It is fun for the children to open all those nice parcels you all have made for the project. Our school has worked with the parcels from Germany, Finland and England. We learned about your countries when we worked with it and the children liked it a lot.
Best wishes from Strengelvåg Skole.
